![]() ![]() Believe me, I don't want it to be used and the first time I saw it was a moment that stuck with me well after I have beaten the game. (Can we get more of those? Please?)Īs for the dreaded Soul Cannon.yeah I can admit THAT was underutilized in the first game. The animated shorts also largely contributed to my enjoyment of the game and I would happily watch more. I also found the game to it a sweet spot in terms of length where the story had me hooked without overstaying its welcome. With luck some new skills, enemies, characters, and maybe some other activities to do outside of combat can spice it up a bit. The repetition does not bother me and while it did kick my rear during my first run (which did lead to some frustration of course), I found the battles to be engaging despite the relative simplicity of them. I also enjoy our little heroes as characters and hope to see them more developed since they were a bit.flat in the first game. The darker story tone actually has me interested even if I initially felt that the golden ending in the first game was good enough (I slowly warmed up to the idea, please don't bash me). That being said, I absolutely enjoyed Fuga 1 and I'm looking forward to 2 and 3. So yes, I can understand that these games are not going to agree with everyone for a wide variety of reasons. War is hell and the fact the main cast are kids is even worse. The game is a complete tonal shift from the other games in the franchise, the battles are the meat and bones of the game with very little to break up the flow, and to 100% everything is a pain to go through (I'm looking at you level 10 affinity for everyone and level 50 experience for all characters!). Before I begin I want to say that I can understand why people are not thrilled with the Fuga. ![]()
